REFLECT in action
Co-mentors Linda Jane James, Visual Artist and Sally Appadu, Class Teacher and Performing Arts Coordinator at Gilberstone Primary School explored different textual and visual experiences from business, fine art and childhood. They explored the processes involved in the integration of visual and textual languages which they termed Visual Thinking.
Co-mentors Clare Chacksfield, Eastfeast Director and Suzanne Carter, Deputy Headteacher at Rackham Primary School began their co-mentoring partnership with a conversation about changing curriculum to allow for more creativity.
Co mentors Ami Hallgarth from The Whitworth Gallery in Manchester and Pat Smith, Headteacher at St Winifred’s RC Primary School in Stockport, shared their co-mentoring story at the REFLECT National Conference. Sketchbook Journeys gave delegates a real insight into the personal and professional journey that Ami and Pat embraced together.
